The 1st, one-day bilingual education seminar about safety of cyclists in traffic was held on 26th of April in Jimbolia, with presence of school children from Serbia as well. In total, 52 children participated on the seminar, of which 24th were from Serbia and 28th were from Romania. In addition to education and useful advice received from representatives of the police and members of the project team, they received protective and safety equipment for cycling. The municipality of Nova Crnja provided a bus that transported the students to Jimbolia and back and all the activities regarding smooth border crossing and the approval of the parents were carried out.
The 2nd, 3 days seminars “Improvement in the field of cyclotourism services” were held in the period 25th – 27th of April in both country. Partners have successfully coordinated the education activities, in the sense that trainers on both sides of the border simultaneously prepared all the necessary material for seminars, which opened the possibility for activities to be conducted simultaneously. In total 34 participants attended these seminars, of which 18 participants in Serbia and 16 in Romania. Seminar in Serbia was held in Srpska Crnja and in Romania in Jimbolia, through several segments:
– Introduction to the general characteristics of contemporary tourism in the world, Europe RO/SER;
– Introduction to the concept of a tourist destination and a review of the potential benefits and the existing shortcomings;
– Presentation of different categories of tourism products with special reference to products of cultural tourism as the basic basis of the tourist offer of the destination
– Highlighting the importance of cycling as a special model of tourism products and international bicycle corridors as an important element of the European tourist offer.
